I have been looking for the right print to put above my bed for a while, and while tidying up my Pinterest boards spotted the Olle Eksell Cocoa Eyes Print that I’ve been hankering over for ages – why didn’t I think of this before? It’s an iconic image, arguably one of the most famous graphic design prints in the world. Originally designed for Swedish chocolate company Mazetti in 1956, it was printed in poster form for his retrospective exhibition at the Form Design Centre in Malmö, Sweden in 1999. As you can imagine, the originals go for a pretty penny but this 70×100 cm reproduction was a steal at £24.99 on eBay.
I am now looking for a cheap black frame to hang it in. Do you have any ideas where to get one? I’ve tried B&Q and IKEA is a bit of a trek for just one item. Leave a comment if you can help and do let me know what you think. Are you a lover or a hater?
